Of the six categories Conde Nast Traveler readers use to rank their favorite cities in the magazine’s annual survey, one is particularly personal: friendliness. Based entirely on real people’s first hand experience with our destination, friendliness is a true measure of a community.
We know there are untold heroes working in our hospitality community. That’s why we’ve begun saluting Charlestonly Ambassadors, frontline folks who take pride in providing a customer service experience that is second to none. It’s our way of saying Thanks Y’all for helping the Charleston area put its best face forward everyday.
Please join us in saluting our two newest Charlestonly Ambassadors, Tommy and Billy Hall of Halls Chophouse. This duo is quick on their feet to make last minute arrangements a total success.
A local meeting planner called Halls Chophouse to confirm her group’s reservation that evening for 40 people. Billy took the call and explained there was no record of the reservation ever being made. The planner panicked, realizing her assistant failed to make the reservation. Billy said, “No problem- we look forward to seeing your group tonight.” Tommy sprang into action and prepared for the group with short notice. The planner was thrilled and explained Tommy and Billy knocked it out of the park. The group was blown away by the quality of service and cuisine.
